The UK’s traditional copper phone network is being switched off and replaced with internet-based services. For most businesses that is a straightforward change, but it catches people out when something in the building still relies on an old line: an alarm, a lift phone, a franking machine or an older card terminal.

What is the phone line switch-off?
The UK’s old copper telephone network is being retired, and phone lines are moving to internet-based services. Anything that still relies on an old line, such as some phones, alarms or older card machines, needs checking before it moves.
Can I keep my business number?
In almost every case, yes. Your number moves with you when you switch provider.
What if my broadband contract has time left on it?
We check your contract first. If leaving early would cost more than you would save, we will say so and plan the switch for your renewal date instead.
Do you charge for this?
No. We are paid by the provider you choose, and we tell you about it before you sign.
